UNCF NextEra Energy Scholarship for first year community college

The NextEra Energy Scholarship Program is a postsecondary scholarship to provide renewable, merit-based scholarships to first year students who identify as diverse in ethnic background, who are enrolled at two-year colleges majoring in STEM, (excluding healthcare majors) or seeking technical degrees with a renewable energy business disciplines; as well as those seeking technical degrees with a renewable energy focus. Eligible students must:

Have at least a 2.50 GPA
Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national or permanent resident
Must be first-year student at a 2-year college
Pursuing a degree in STEM (not including healthcare majors) or business disciplines

Things needed to apply:

A high school transcript
2 Written Essays
A Complete UNCF Application Package
A financial aid award letter from their college or university
A copy of their 2024-2025 FAFSA Form
