Pete Shauf "GRIT" Award Scholarship Fund

On Monday, May 24, 2021 the first anniversary of her husband Pete Shauf’s death, Susie Shauf, along with her children, donated funds to the North Central Texas College Foundation to establish the Pete Shauf “GRIT” Award scholarship fund. The “GRIT” award stands for gratitude, responsibility, integrity, and tenacity, four characteristics that embodied Pete Shauf. Preference for the “GRIT” award scholarship will be given to a student in Cooke County with a strong work ethic, who has received a faculty recommendation stating that the student embodies the same characteristics Pete was known for, gratitude, responsibility, integrity, and tenacity. A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA must be maintained.
