Dallas Scholars Scholarship

Soroptimist International of Dallas is part of an international women’s service organization dedicated to improving the lives of women.

We are pleased to announce our Dallas Scholars program, a scholarship for single mothers that meet the following criteria:
• Must be a high school senior in graduating semester
• Or Acquired GED certificate of completion
• Or, be an existing undergraduate college student attending an accredited two or four year college or university

Some of the details of the scholarship are:
• Scholarship will be for $1,000 to cover tuition, fees and books and paid directly to the college or university
• The first semester of eligibility will be the fall semester
• Payment will be issued upon recipient providing documentation to SI-Dallas of acceptance by the college or university
• Applications are due by February 1st

Personal interviews may be requested at panel’s discretion.

Number of recipients will be decided each year based on success and scope of program and budgetary constraints.
