Healthcare Scholarship

Applicants for the Healthcare Scholarship must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

• Must have one or more years of school remaining
• Must provide proof of enrollment to a program in healthcare education, public health, nursing and/or pharmacy degree program with an accredited university
• Must show financial need
• Must be able to show proof of being a High School Graduate from the following school districts:
  Argyle
  Coppell
  Frisco
  Lake Dallas
  Lewisville
  Little Elm
  Northwest
  Carrollton-Farmers Branch

What are the selection criteria?
An independent selection committee will evaluate the applications and select the recipients considering:

• GPA which must be at least a 2.0
• Academic records in healthcare education, public health, nursing and/or pharmacy degree program
• Community involvement/Volunteer service
• Financial need
• Essay content

• Your essay must include the following:
• 12 pt. font, Times New Roman
• 500 words minimum, double spaced
• Include why you are applying for this scholarship and what your career goals are with your degree and how you believe it may make a difference in the lives of others
• Describe any special circumstances such as medical conditions, disabilities, etc. that may affect your ability to pay for your college tuition
• How many years do you plan to attend college, and what course of study would you like to pursue?
