Lew & Barbara Allen Scholarship

General Lew Allen, Jr. was the tenth chief of staff of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington, D.C.. He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1942 and was a past recipient of the F.M. Hemphill Distinguished Alumni Award from NCTC. Thanks to a donation from General Allen and a matching gift from the W. M. Keck Foundation, the Lew & Barbara Allen Scholarship was established to assist students majoring in science, engineering, or related field. A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA is required.
